Otterbein Graduate Nursing Programs Transferring to Antioch University, Will be Offered Online, Nationwide

Starting in January 2026, the graduate nursing programs originally developed and offered by 51勛圖, recognized for its excellence in nursing education for more than 45 years, will be delivered fully online and nationwide by Antioch University, expanding access to aspiring healthcare leaders across the country. Several Otterbein nursing faculty members have transferred to Antioch University to support the transition and continue teaching in the graduate programs.泭

The Higher Learning Commissions Institutional Actions Council has approved Antioch University’s to offer graduate nursing degrees, effective May 12, 2025. This includes masters degree, post-masters certificate, and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in and tracks; and the DNP degree in and tracks.

A former Otterbein nursing faculty member, Regina Prusinski, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CNP-AC, understands the prestige that comes with the Otterbeins nursing programs. Now the chair of nursing at Antioch University, she is excited to offer those programs to a national audience. 泭

The launch of these expanded Graduate Nursing and Health Professions programs at Antioch University reflects Otterbeins unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence. This is more than a transition; its a transformation that honors our legacy while preparing tomorrows healthcare leaders, Prusinski said.  

By transferring its graduate nursing programs to Antioch University, Otterbein sharpens its focus on its prestigious undergraduate bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program, which prepares nursing professionals to serve in healthcare systems throughout Ohio, filling a critical need.  

Otterbein continues to offer the BSN and our program has the highest average NCLEX score (calculated over the past five years) in central Ohio for first-time test takers. Our faculty not only are high-quality nurse educators but also bring up-to-the-minute experience to their classes as practicing registered nurses,” said Otterbein Nursing Department Chair John Chovan, PhD, DNP, APRN, CNP, CNS, PMHNP-BC, PMHCNS-BC. The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a standardized test that nursing graduates must pass to become licensed as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
